The Chinmaya Education Movement is one of the most important contributions of Chinmaya Mission to society. It encompasses over 80 Vidyalayas, 8 Colleges, a Harihar School and an International Residential School. Chinmaya Vidyalaya at Chengannur is located in Chinmaya Nagar near Sri Mahadeva Temple in the heart of the town. The school is owned by Chinmaya Seva Trust, Kerala, Thrissur. It is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and has classes from LKG to Standard XII. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi, Malayalam, and Sanskrit are also taught as second and third languages.
